DIY Halloween Bat Wreath

We missed posting for blogtober this weekend, but now we’re back!

It’s time for another Halloween DIY! This time we made a Halloween wreath that is shaped like a bat. This DIY is so simple, but looks really cute! Here are the instructions on how to make one for yourself!

What you’ll need

– styrofoam wreath base

– black paint

– black yarn

– poster board

– scissors

– hot glue

First, start with your wreath base and paint it black. This is so the green won’t show through when you wrap the yarn around it!

Next, start wrapping black yarn all around the wreath. You could skip this part, but it adds a little bit of texture to the wreath, making it look better.

Now trace two bat wing shapes onto the poster board and cut them out. We couldn’t find black poster board, so we used white and then painted it black.

Now hot glue one bat wing to each of the sides of the wreath’s base.

Finally, all you have to do is tie a ribbon to the top of the wreath and hang it!

The total cost to make the wreath is $10!

Wreath base: $1 – Dollar Tree

Poster board: $1 – Dollar Tree

Paint: $1 – Michaels

Yarn: $3 -Michaels

Ribbon: $4 – Hobby Lobby

We hope you will love this DIY, and we’d love to see it if you make one! Tag us on Instagram!
