DIY Dollar Store Skeleton Fairies (Pinterest DIYs #1)

These DIY skeleton fairies are so fun to make, are super cheap, and make such a cute Halloween decoration!

We were inspired by this pin on Pinterest:

The only things you need are…
Skeleton garland from the Dollar Tree
Butterfly wings.
You can get these at the Dollar Tree, or you could probably find some fancier ones from a craft store.
Hot glue
Scissors

First, we took the string off of the skeleton garland, and cut the little hole thingy off of the heads of the skeletons.
Then we cut the top and bottom of the styrofoam off of the butterfly wings. Like this:
And finally all you have to do is hot glue the wings to the back of the skeleton! Super easy! We wanted to make ours a little extra, so we added things like antennae, glitter, or gold paint on some of them! Here are the pictures of the ones we made:

Our favorites are the blue winged one, and the green winged one. Which one is your favorite?
We’d love to see it if you decide to make any of these! Tag us on Instagram @thejollyjackolantern

Wow! Those look great! I’ve been planning to make these at a Halloween Party with my 5th grader and her friends later this month. I already had the skeletons but will take your advice and look at the Dollar Store for those butterfly wings. They look perfect!
